Hey people out there! The Festival of Praise is here! It is held at the Singapore indoor stadium from the 1st to the 3rd of August. So, lets get excitied for this wonderful event of praise!

Thinking out of the box

I find this very lame and stupid but still, I want to post it up, haha!
How can you think out of the box when you're already outside the box?
Can you really confirm that you are already out of the box?
You are inside the box or the box is inside you?
You are in the box thinking or you are outside the box because the box is in your mind?
Think within the box equal not creative?
Think outside the box equal creative?
So can anyone tell me that you all are thinking outside the box or inside the box?

Adventure learning

Today, I had adventure learning and the experience turn out to be some what unexpected. First, the programme started off with a story told by one of the instructors which was related to fear and how do overcome it so as to encourage the people to step out of their comfort zone and approach the high elements. After all the introduction and stuffs, we started the activity. My class,W24B, was the 2nd class to go and we waited for almost 2 hours then it was our turn because some of the people from the 1st class were stuck in the obstacles. When it was our class turn, all of us just breeze through the obstacles in no time. Through this programme I gained a revelation. Imagine the high elements as your walk with God, and God is the safety harness while the obstacle course is your trials and tribulations. During this high elements walk, your safety harness will always be attached to you and will help you throughout this walk and it is the only safety device to protect you. There will be a lot of obstacles in this walk but the only thing that is able to support you throughout this walk is only the safety harness and no matter what it will not let go of you. This tells me that throughout my walk with God, he will always be there with me by my side, never letting me go even if I fall or when I am facing trials, he will be the only one that can pull me back up. Every step I take, is a step of faith and it brings me one step closer into finishing my walk with God. No matter what trials and tribulations I have, I will always be clinging on to God.

Tired?

Yesterday was a very tiring day for me although I did not do anything much but I was physically and mentally tired throughout the day. My body was aching and I keep falling asleep in class even when my other classmates were presenting and I just couldn't open my eyes. However, when school ended I attended a prayer meeting with a group called RP4C which is made up of City Harvesters in Republic Polytechnic. At the beginning, I was reluctant to go for it as I was really tired but after much thought, I decided to go. There were a total of 6 people who attended this meeting including myself and it happened to be all BROTHERS and no sisters, but the prayer meeting was great even though there were very little of us. Tired was I, but after the prayer meeting I was refreshed till I reached home!

As the bible states in Matthew 26:41 - Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

I thank God for this prayer meeting, Hallelujah!

Basketball

We had basketball today and it was awesome! God really do answer prayers as there were about 20 people that played basketball today. We occupied the whole basketball court and not forgetting there were a lot of new friends, even Si Jia came down to fellowship with us, amazing! I met a lot of new faces and we just mingle around, play basketball and chatted. Seeing so many friends gathering together and playing basketball really brought me back to the past when I played basketball with Rong Hao, Choon Hao and another few of my basketball friends. It brings back memories of my childhood and words can't explain the way I felt during this period of time. Really want to Thank God for this wonderful and fruitful day!

After school

Today's module was cognitive and we had a relief faci coming in, as our current faci is hospitialised and I really pray that she would be alright. After school, Me, Xiao Jun and Li Tong went to westmall's subway for dinner. We sat down and chit chatted, then both Xiao Jun and Li Tong decided to take some photos, so we left subway and head out to some nearby steps and took some pictures.

What a day!

Today was a very long but fun day. The day started with me waking up at 9.40 am and I was suppose to start my ushering duty at 10am, therefore, I had to take a cab down to church which cost me $7.60! However, today's service was great, all the seats have been filled and the sermon was great too. Pastor Kong preached a good message about Self-image,Self-worth,Self-esteem and Self-respect and it was great! After service, we went to best and Amber and I took 10 pictures together. I was forced to think of 10 poses, and it was a breakthrough for me! Haha.

After that Me,Amber,Seow Shi and Kai Xiang went to Jerblin's house at bedok for a prayer meeting and we had to take a cab down which costs us $22.20 ,and the prayer meeting was great too!

Prayer meeting ended, and surprisingly, Jonathan,Melvin,Damien,Jia Wei,Kim and Sarah were all at Bukit Batok McDonald. Sarah was there doing her homework and some of us 'guided' her in it, while the others fellowship.

It was a tiring yet rewarding day, and on the 20th we will be hosting Survivor: Sentosa edition while on the 21st there will be water baptism and I'm so excitied for both of these 2 events!

Salvation

Cool video I found on the ET Zone blog. It talks about Salvation through artistic means. Enjoy this video, its very interesting!

Mike Connell

Sunday's service was GREAT, because Pastor Mike Connell's in town! During the service God's presence was so tangible and I could feel so much love from God as Pastor Mike delievered the demons off the people. This was an unforgettable experience and I've learnt a lot through this. I am hoping more of Pastor Mike in the future!

After service we had board games and here are some of the pictures taken.

Funfair

Sorry for the late post people.

Last saturday, we went to Farfield Methodist Secondary School for their school's funfair and we were there to support Sarah! I found the funfair interesting and FUN although the items there are kind of expensive, but overall it was FUN FUN FUN. After the funfair, went to my cousin, Nicholas, 21st birthday party! It's been quite some time since I had the chance to really talk to my cousins. I miss them!

Love

Was chatting on the phone with Kai Xiang last night and during this conversation, lots and lots of thoughts just flowed through my mind. Then the word Love just keep appearing, therefore, I decided to search the meaning of it and post it up, here is what I found.

Love

The Christian understanding is that love comes from God, they believe that to Love Godwith all your heart, mind, and strength and Love your neighbor as yourself are the two most important things in life.

The definition only mentioned about Loving God and your neighbor which are the two greatest commandments. Although loving God is the most important but loving your neighbor, which is about loving the people around you is also important, and I feel that some people are really neglecting this point. Minor things such as greeting each other might not mean much to some people but it might be a gesture of love and care towards some. Knowing this, Love comes in the small things you do for people and it might also be teared apart by not doing so.

*1 Corinthians 13*

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

*Visible Love opens invisible Hearts*
