How to save a life

Last week of the Semester

Finally, its the last week of the semester and after this week will be officially term break! This was what happened during the week.

Day 1
It was Communication module and our facilitator, Kieren, told us that we need not bring our laptops to school that day and we'll be ending lessons at 130pm. He started off the lesson with a game! Pictures during the game...







After that we went for our breakout and 1 hour later we came back to play our next game which was an outdoor activity. It was like the amazing race but it involves what we've learnt in the previous lessons, and it was fun!





The person circled in red is my facilitator, I will miss his lessons as he always do something special during his lessons and everyday he offers the class sweets. Just want to thank Kieren for his patience and understanding in guiding the class.


Day 2
It was our Cognitive module and our facilitator was Justina! Lesson ended early at 130pm and we did not have to do the worksheet, woohoo! Justina is the lady circled in red in the picture below, although she's kind of weird but she's very funny and never fails to make me laugh, thank you for your guidance these past weeks, I'll miss Teddy Monkey!




Day 3
Had Maths module and we did nothing special, lesson were as per normal just that there were lesser people around and we did not take any pictures. Overall, lesson was boring.


Day 4
It is Enterprise Module and our facilitator was Carol Danker! Well, it has been a fun 16 weeks of Enterprise lessons and Carol is one of my favourite facilitators. Lesson was great, Carol even bought us a Secret Recipe Cake named Chocolate Indulgence and it weighed about 2kg? Enterprise lessons have always been fun, therefore, today there was no exception. Thanks Carol for the cake, and your interesting lessons throughout the weeks!

JOY

Where does JOY really comes from?

JOY comes by putting Jesus first, Others second, and Yourself last.

Everyone wants to enjoy life. Many people place the source of their joy in what they own, in their reputation, in their status, or in other worldly things. Yet, all of those things are unstable and can easily evaporate, taking joy with them. In the end, we will depart this world just as we entered it, with nothing like said in Ecclesiastes 5:15.

On the other hand, true joy is offered in Christ. In John 10:10, Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Living life to the full includes living it overflowing with joy.

One of the side effects of Jesus coming to Earth was that we could have lasting joy. Indeed, the gladness and joy that so many people so desperately want can be found only in Jesus.

Jin Cheng

Early in the wee hours of the morning. Woke up at 5.30am to see off Jin Cheng( The girl in white shown in the pictures below) at the airport as she'll be leaving back to China. We took some pictures before she left for the departure hall.



It has really been a pleasure to know you in Cell-group, although we've known each other for like 2 or 3 months? You're a great person to be with always so bubbly and cheerful, well, the whole of W320 will miss you, we really hope to see you real soon, all the best in your studies and your walk with God! God bless!

I believed that God wanted me to gain something out of today, therefore, I felt that it was a very fruitful day for me as I've learnt a lot through the word of God, ushering and the discipleships.
Special guest speaker, Reverend John Bevere (See in picture below), came to minister to us today. He preached a great message of the rewards that will be awarded to you if you Honor people. He mentioned this phrase, "True honor originates from the heart". I was blown away when I heard it, and it really impacted me. Can't wait for the next time he comes!

God has also open many doors for me as today was my very first time understudying of how to be a Stage 2 usher , and I had a very good chance to pick up some points of being one. It was fun and exciting yet stressful too, as I had to sit in the Pastor's row and there are heavy responsibilities that a Stage 2 usher had to carry, but overall it was really a great experience. I want another chance! After service, W320(A) had a movie screening and we watched the show Hancock! The movie screening event did not turn out as well as expected, however, the next time it will be better! I really pray that in 2009, I will have more wisdom and a stronger relationship with God and the people around me. I also want to see more breakthroughs in my life, and I believe there will be more to come in 2009! Last but not least, thank God for today!
